Virginia Tech Massacre Brings Out the Worst in Moonbats

Bizarrely yet predictably, liberals are blaming the gun restrictions that allowed the Virginia Tech massacre to claim so many lives — for not being stringent enough. The insufferable snobbery that serves the European press in lieu of dignity has been on full display as it finds in the tragedy yet another opportunity to denounce Americans, mainly for stubbornly clinging to our right not to be disarmed. France's Le Monde is typical:

This new tragedy presents a new opportunity for American public opinion to interrogate itself about a society which […] is very much responsible for what has happened.

Also on full display have been the obtuseness and vileness of our own homegrown moonbats. Naturally the liberal weenies running our media agree that if unarmed citizens are slaughtered by a criminal, it must be because of the Second Amendment hasn't been repealed.

HuffPo kook Joseph Palermo blames Cho Seung-Hui's massacre on the war in Iraq:

I think it is also fair to place some of the blame on our political leaders who called for us to invade and occupy Iraq. The bloodbath and carnage daily reported out of Iraq, as well as our young people going in and out of that death trap, provide the background noise for the violence that pervades our society.

Surprisingly, he didn't manage to bring global warming into it.

The creepy-crawlies wriggling around under the rock called Democratic Underground are mad because Bush did his job by going to Blacksburg for a memorial service. Some sample remarks:

Security and traffic jams all because asshole wants a photo op
He is such a fucking narcissist, any opportunity to inject himself into the public eye - My God.
It's Bush's 2007 "stand on the rubble with a bullhorn" moment. Ugh.

Meanwhile, Queen of the Moonbats Rosie O'Donnell wants to know why Bush went to Blacksburg right away, whereas with Katrina he waited until after the hurricane stopped.

All you need to do about the French is remind them about the month of car burnings, killing and riots in fall of 2005 along with the honor killings by Muslims in the ghettos.

As for the people who complain about Bush showing up for the memorial service - if he didnt show up the would say Bush is a cold heartless devil who wont even show up to comfort the people who experienced the tragedy. You cant win with those nut bags - too bad these whiners arent the ones who were shot instead of the students/teachers who were. Then we wouldnt have to listen to their incessant complaining.

The media feeding frenzy around things like this helps keep the cycle going - these whacko killers see all the media attention this Korean guy gets and they think they will go out in a blaze of glory and become a media sensation. Maybe he remembers how famous the Columbine killers were and tried to emulate them. These cable news people are probably helping to create the next killer. All it takes is one pissed off guy and a gun.

Euro-haters of America, should know that many Americans reciprocate with hatred for the Euro-wimps. The murderer was not an American, he was an Asian resident alien. He wrote of his hatred for the university society and our American civilization. Euro-hatred of America is helping to retunr our nation to a isolationist fortress America - as in the Thirties. Europeans can continue to contribute to their hatred of America by not coming to our nation. Also, continue being rude to American tourists so they will not return to Europe. Then, Europe can deal with the hoardes of Muslims and Africans, and Asians, that are flooding across your borders. We Americans have a nice three thousand mile ocean moat on both sides of our nation - and we are building walls along are southern border. Europe can enjoy Sahria law, while Americans will continue to enjoy being free and prosperous!

The anti-gun crowd likes to portray all gun owners as drunken, drooling, violent maniacs. How then to explain that shootings at gun shows, NRA meetings, and practice ranges are unheard of? The first requirement for a massacre is a disarmed pool of victims. Virginia Tech's policy of requiring all law-abiding students and staff to turn over their weapons to campus security was helpful in this regard.

Bringing out the worst of anti-Americanism on a Guardian thread:

British commenter "DisUall" says::

Look on the bright side - much better for Americans to stay at home killing each other than roaming the world slaughtering innocent men, women and children wherever and whenever they take the fancy.

Let's hope this aspect of the violence-obsessed US culture thrives.

American commenter "usmarine" replies:

I doubt you would have the balls to say that in public you scumbag.

I hope none of your children are violently murdered at school.

"DisUall" responds:

[...] Thank you for the kind thought. One of the ways I intend to ensure this is by never having them at school in the USA. This will also have the effect of giving them a chance of a proper education, and equipping them to engage in grown up debate without name calling.

Just when I thought the moonbats had plumbed the deepest, they amaze me again.

Seung-Hui grew up in America, and is a product of the culture. No doubt.

How many American soldiers' funerals has Bush showed up for in the past four years?

The current gun laws in the US are antiquated and based on misintepretation of the constitution. Simple fact, wingnuts!

Another fact: no other wealthy country in the world experiences the kind of out of control and DAILY gun violence, death and murder at the magnitude that we do in the US. Not even close.

American culture worships violence, as all of you so well attest. Live and die by it suckers!

It's simple. If you don't like guns, don't get one. But keep your hands off my Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

westerberg,

Every year tens of thousands of Americans are murdered by drunk drivers. Are you going to call for a ban on automobiles or alcohol?

Posted by: tfhr at April 18, 2007 4:31 AM

America-hating psychotics like westerberg will take anything that happens and fit it into their socialist template. So, arguing is kind of pointless,

But those of us who can reason things out can look at it this way. There is no perfect system, and there can not be, because humans are imperfect, some much more than others. Therefore, one has to decide what the best trade-offs to be made are, and how to manage the consequences of such trade-offs.

The right of millions and millions of law-abiding people to be safe in their persons and homes ultimately does have to be weighed against the reality that tragedies like this will occasionally occur.

But if I had been in one of those classrooms, I would much rather have had a gun at my side than a law written in a book somewhere.

The Marine should have said, "I hope guys like you enjoyed your terrorist subway and bus bombings; because the way you clowns deal with terrorism means you will have alot more of them in the future."

One would assume that Palermo and O'Donnell would be cashing in on this. Lord knows that DU would be all over it as it grasps for any slime it can get. For Moonbattery to exploit this tragedy in order to take pop-shots at Liberalism indicates that it's no better.

Posted by: Ron W at April 18, 2007 5:02 AM

westerberg, you are a coward, representative of other cowards, who wish for a world of cowards.

Come and get my firearms, coward.

So, we're just supposed to ignore it when Moonbats reveal the psychotic derange hatred that motivates them, is that what you're saying?

"All that it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing."

Posted by: V the K at April 18, 2007 6:09 AM

But, hey, it's wonderful that countries like Japan that have Draconian gun laws are completely free of gun violence.

Oops. Never mind. Mayor of Nagasaki Gunned Down by Mobsters.

Posted by: V the K at April 18, 2007 6:45 AM

Anything the forigners have to say about the United States is meaningless because they speak from hatred, not experience.

Posted by: KHarn at April 18, 2007 11:43 AM

I rest my case. You love violence. You love killing....so that's what you get.

Jimbo, only a coward needs a gun! You keep 'em, I don't want 'em. It'll will be the death of you...good luck

Bravo westerburg! Now go tell the MUSLIMS, if you dare!

Posted by: KHarn at April 19, 2007 4:52 PM

The ultimate irony is that your lunatic gun-toting fellow countryman living in your own neighborhood represents a greater and more present threat to your personal welfare than ANY muslim.

But you can't see the forrest for the trees, can you?
