Moonbats Dictate Attire to the Pope

The religion that serves as the backbone of Western Civilization is once again at loggerheads with our new God-free quasi-religion, moonbattery. Animal rights fanatics in Italy don't like it that Pope Benedict XVI , like many Popes before him going back centuries, wears a hat trimmed with white ermine fur in cold weather.

The Anti-Vivisection League demanded that he lose the hat in advance of a papal visit to Pavia, home of Italy's best-known fur makers. With astounding impertinence, the moonbats see fit to dictate ethics to the Pope:

We call on the Holy Father to make a choice of high religious and ethical significance by not wearing fur on this occasion, nor in the future.

If only liberals would deliver on the global warming they keep promising, no one would be tempted to wear fur in late April.

Pope Benedict and his unethical hat.

On a tip from Wiggins.

Brilliant!!!

Because the Right never has problems with what religious people are wearing.

Burka anyone?

Aha.
It's cold outside today (in April, no less), which shows that global warming is a hoax.

Related: Two pages of obituaries in my local paper today shows that the world is not getting more populous.

Anecdotal evidence proves nothing!!

I'll ask again, is it the expected leaps and bounds in innovation that keep you from wanting to do something about global warming?

I always wondered what Santa Claus would look like without the beard and glasses.

Robert,
your argument is nutty. The people who are crying "global warming" are the same ones who are against INDUSTRY and PROGRESS!
They don't WANT a solution because that would end their "cause". A "Cause" is all Liberals ever wanted, not to improove life for others or "save the planet".
Go ahead, tell me what carrying a sign, shouting insults and accusations, signing a petition, or vandaliseing somebody's property ever did to solve a political or enviormental problem.

Posted by: KHarn at April 16, 2007 3:37 PM

Robert, I've got four reasons for not wanting to do anything about global warming:

1) Anthropogenic global warming is NOT REAL.
2) Unscrupulous bureaucrats would like to use it as a pretext to increase taxation and expand their control to totalitarian levels.
3) The lunatic Left would like to use it as a pretext to cripple the US economy.
4) It's too cold most of the time.

Locust hat indeed. Satan Claus...er...santa claus might as well don one of those too. May is the beginning of Locust season.

The funny part is, Robert is pretending this is the ONLY cold day that's happened all year, and completely ignoring the record cold of the previous three months... not to mention the several hundred million years of fluctuating climate that preceded humankind's arrival on the planet.

I think a lot of these Global Warming cultists are egomaniacs who've been brought up believing the world revolves around them. So, naturally, they think they control the weather.

So, Bobby, let me ask you one final question: What is the world's perfect temperature, that should be the one perfect temperature, within one-tenth of one degree, that the Earth should be set at for all time?
