Jerry Brown Leading Charge to Loot Auto Industry
If militant moonbats have their way, the orgy of government greed that was excused by the war on tobacco will be dwarfed by the massive looting to take place behind the global warming smokescreen. Hard times for American automakers will get harder still when their resources are expropriated by unscrupulous bureauweenies like Jerry Brown, formerly known as California's Governor Moonbeam.
Now Attorney General of the Land of Fruits and Nuts, Brown is leading a looting expedition based on the notion that cars cause global warming, so the makers of cars should be sued for subjecting California residents to apocalyptic doom. In response, manufacturers have sensibly characterized the suit as a nuisance action and asked that it be dismissed.
Given the prevalence of liberals in our judicial system, the willingness of liberals to behave as if the global warming hoax were a real crisis when it suits their purposes, and the vindictiveness liberals often display toward the business sector, it's only a matter of time until Brown's suit or a similar one meets with success. Other states will of course pile on, and the automotive industry in America will be looted out of existence. Hundreds of thousands will be thrown out of work, but that's okay, because state bureaucracies will have stolen enough money to put them all on welfare — for a while.

The automobile epitomizes independence, self-empowerment, mobility, and freedom... all things that horrify the moonbat left.
The automobile must go so that the proles can only use 'mass transit,' which allow government bureaucrats to control where we go, and when we're allowed to go there. These systems will be fully unionized, thus the moonbats can demand more tribute or paralyze the economy at will.
Meanwhile, Jerry Brown, Al Gore, and our other social betters will be free to travel in stretch limos and private jets.

SO... they should just quit selling cars there ASAP. If they work at it, before long, they can look just like their utopian example, Cuba, where other than the vehicles driven by the ruling elite, the newest vehicle you can find is a 59 Dodge with Ford fenders and seats from a Chevy.
Pretty soon the only legal activity in Kalipornia will be fudge-packing.

Contrary to Brown's assertions, the reason GM moved from number one to number two in worldwide auto sales is because the unions have choked the industry to the point that GM can no longer compete effectively with Toyota, etc. Suing them over environmental concerns will certainly not help matters...nor will it do anything to help make the earth "greener."
It will be interesting to see how long it will take overzealous prosecutors to begin class action suits against car owners as well.

I once thought that we'd all be free of these total Moonbats once they started dying-off of old age (or too much LSD, back in the day), but I see that Jerry Brown (a/k/a Gov. Moonbeam) is still around (maybe it was wishful thinking, since he hadn't been heard from in a while - thought he might be taking the eternal dirt nap by now).
I fear, though, even when they're all gone, that they've infected a whole new crowd of illiterate, know-nothing perpetual children (just like themselves, in the '60's) with their control of academe and the bureaucracies at all levels, so we may never be rid of these morons. The disease of Liberalism - the gift that "keeps on giving," if you will.
