Hostage Crisis Reveals British Bureaucrats Still Capable of Outrage
Posted by Dave Blount at April 4, 2007 11:04 AM
Their propaganda objectives having been accomplished, the Muslim fanatics running Iran appear ready to release the 15 military hostages Britain allowed them to kidnap. British bureauweenies are outraged by the incident. Chides Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt:
It was deplorable that the woman hostage should be shown smoking. This sends completely the wrong message to our young people.
Fortunately this horrible message is likely to be drowned out by the much louder one broadcast to the world by the latest intolerable example of Islamic aggression and Western passivity.

British sailor Faye Turney has a smoke in Iranian custody.
On a tip from V the K.
