Dem Peter Welch: Impose Enviromoonbattery on the Military
The Goracle's carbon offset swindle — whereby he sells eco-indulgences to energy hogs like himself — will become even more profitable if Rep. Peter Welch (D-VT) has his way. Welch has introduced legislation to force the military to purchase carbon offsets for the energy it uses.
From a liberal standpoint, it's an excellent idea. It will both cripple the military and shoot taxes through the stratosphere. Rivers of our money will flow into the pockets of shady global warming hoaxers like Gore who like trial lawyers are invariably aligned with the Left. The climate won't be affected, but the Weather Channel is sure to tell us otherwise.
Once again, the environmental agenda is clear: force us to pay them to paralyze society.

You know we're screwed when the haters of this country have control of our military.

These same people whine about the military not having all of the equipment necessary to do its job (body armor, armored vehicles, etc.), but now they want to take money that would be used for that stuff and give it to companies that do what, exactly?
This is stupid.

What are the odds they'll arrange things so that the military buys its offsets from Manbearpig's offset company?

This is getting sicker, and sicker, and sicker.
There's something I'd like to know. As a factor, what percentage does CO2 contribute over-all to the greenhouse effect? And, of that percentage, what percentage of the greenhouse effect is from man-made CO2? I've read quite a bit about this but I don't think I've ever seen these numbers. You'd think these numbers would be first or second paragraph information in newspaper articles, if not headlines, but I can't find these specific numbers. Anybody know?

There's a group called the Lavoisier Group out of Austrailia. Their website is www.lavoisier.com. Several very complete papers done by 'denier' scientists that go into solid detail on the science. Well worth the reading.

Here's another site that at least looks pretty authoritative and objective. (I haven't yet had a chance to analyze the data in it.)

OMG! These morons will stop at nothing to enrich themselves while dramatically harming America. Hopefully the Goreacle has overplayed his hand and there will be a backlash of some kind. I continue to be astonished that this cult has snookered so many.
Mindless Gore-worshippers amaze me with their infant-like zealotry. They're like 5 year olds who believe in the Boogy man, the sole evidence being that their father told them a scary story.

It makes sense. These modern-day Orin Boyles aren't planning on making billions by selling "Carbon Offsets" to us peasants. They plan to make billions on "Carbon Offset" government contracts.
