Cap-and-Trade Eco-Insanity Crippling European Economies

As Europe disintegrates into moonbattery, it provides the rest of the world a valuable service by showing us all what not to do. For example, its willingness to take the global warming hoax seriously has led to cap-and-trade schemes, which liberals would like to impose here, and which have been pointlessly wreaking havoc on European economies.
Even WaPo describes cap-and-trade schemes as a means to "put a price on something that's always been free: the right of a factory to emit carbon gases," and admits that "the approach has been a bureaucratic morass with a host of unexpected and costly side effects and a much smaller effect on carbon emissions than planned."
Envirokooks have driven electricity costs so high that Dutch factories are having to shut down for part of the day to conserve power, which actually reduces energy efficiency. Meanwhile, competing communist Chinese factories hum merrily along, putting Europeans out of work. In France, industrial materials are being imported from Morocco, where the absence of enviromoonbattery confers a competitive advantage to the detriment of French workers. When angry Germans complain that the costs of environmental foolishness are being passed directly to consumers, power companies shrug that imposing higher prices is the whole point.
In a rare glimpse of hope that not all of the bureauweenies who hold our fate in their meddling hands are completely insane, Paul Bledsoe of the National Commission on Energy Policy admits that "it's important to recognize that legislation to mitigate climate change is going to have significant economic costs, as well."
Now if only we could get them to admit that climate change is driven by the sun, over which they have no jurisdiction, we could all get back to the business of making a living.
