Asparagus Hate Crime

Tiffany Adler picked the wrong pair to throw food at. She "reportedly lobbed apples and asparagus at a gay couple." Then she allegedly yelled the word "faggot," sealing her fate.
The case against her is strong:
Pacifica police reported finding asparagus in Adler's purse at the time of arrest.
Adler claims that the incident arose from a prior conflict and had nothing to do with the couple's revered gayness. But Chief Deputy District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe isn't buying it:
We definitely think this is a hate crime. This one is pretty offensive.
Adler could face jail time. If only she had eaten the evidence!
Highly incriminating.
