Anti-Sheehan Debbie Lee Stands Up For Danny Dietz Memorial

Danny Dietz, whose memorial in Littleton, Colorado is opposed by moonbats on the grounds that it depicts him with a weapon, isn't the only Navy SEAL to die heroically while defending us from terrorists. The first SEAL to perish in the Iraq theater of the war was Petty Officer Second Class Marc Alan Lee of Hood River, Oregon, who was killed after helping to rescue a fellow SEAL during a two-hour firefight with terrorists, in the course of which he fired 100 rounds.

In glaring contrast to media darling Cindy Sheehan, Lee's mother Debbie Lee honors her son's memory appropriately. She also wants to see Danny Dietz' memory honored, as she explains in this letter to the Denver Post and the city of Littleton:

Good morning! I understand that you are doing an article on the memorial statue for Danny Dietz in Littleton.
I was just informed that there are a few people in the community who are objecting to the statue honoring Danny Dietz who heroically laid down his life defending this nation. I have 2 very deep connections to this issue. First I was born in Colorado, grew up in Littleton, and have lived half of my life in Colorado. This was my neighborhood. The preschool at 5301 Lowell Blvd was started by my Mother and we lived at Lowell and Latonka. I was in the first graduating class from Goddard Middle School which is near where the Statue will be placed. The second connection is my son Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy seal to be killed in Iraq on 8-2-06. He willingly laid down his life just like Danny and all of the brave Vets who stood up to the call of duty to protect the freedoms for the citizens of Littleton and this Country. Marc was defending our rights with an MK48 a large machine gun when he died. Both of these young men are heroes who didn't use their weapons recklessly but were sent by this country to defend the attacks from the Terrorists that killed innocent people. I am appalled, devastated, and outraged that anyone would group our heroes, who earned some of the highest medals a nation could give its fallen soldiers, to criminals that killed innocent people at Columbine High School. How insensitive and cruel is that?
Do we eliminate all types of discipline just because a few misuse it? Children get cavities from food, oh my, better eliminate that. Autos kill, hhm, better get rid of that too. Children in 5th grade have sex in a classroom better eliminate schools. People are killed by illegal use of drugs, does that mean we outlaw all drugs even when they are used by doctors who are trained how to use them to save lives?
Obviously not! It is a parent's responsibility to teach a child the proper ways and times to use a weapon, see a doctor for legal drugs that can defend our body against disease when we are sick and to teach our children to think rationally and logically. As Americans our Forefathers saw the importance of the Right to bear arms to protect and defend us and it is nothing to be ashamed of or to hide!
It's not the guns of war that are dangerous it's the lack of thinking and the reactions of the paranoid that threaten our society. I just completed a 10 day tour "These Colors Don't Run" with Move America Forward that went from San Francisco to Washington DC with rallies in 25 cities to let our troops, our President and his administration know that we support them and are proud of their service to our country. I am so tired of the vocal minority who don't support our efforts in Iraq and are unaware of the major difference we are making in Iraq. Because those who support what we are doing in Iraq have been quiet and aren't as aggressive as the liberal left, the media stories reflect their opinions not the majority of America that I heard from on the caravan across America. I for one can't be quiet any longer and must make my voice heard. Our soldiers are willing to risk everything even their lives as Danny and Marc did so that we can have the freedoms we enjoy in America! As an American I am honored that the City of Littleton has chosen to place this statue honoring one of America's bravest patriots. America needs to remember the fallen and their willingness to lay down their lives for a country they loved and believed in!
Thank you for taking time to portray the truth in the story of this Brave young man who made the ultimate sacrifice and for the sacrifice his family makes every day in his absence!
A Very Proud Mother of A Hero,
Debbie Lee

Somehow I doubt the media will spend months following Debbie Lee to photo ops while revering her absolute moral authority.

She'll never be a heroine to the left-wing media, but she's a heroine to me.

It is interesting to compare Debbie Lee's letter/writings to those posted by Cindy Shehan
(whatever the spelling I don't care) I really believe Debbie Lee wrote this herself. It is so obvious that Cindy does not, now I wonder who writes for her?

Even Maureen Dowd doesnt really believe that Cindy Sheehan possesses absolute moral authority.

It is leftwing ideology which carries that weight.

Otherwise, Debbie Lee would have the same authority, but since she doesn’t - it is clear that Sheehan is only a conduit for the message of the leftwing propaganda machine (which consciously or unconsciously works in concert with the Islamist propaganda machine).

Sheehan is just a human shield for the anti-American message of the Left.

I have corresponded with this remarkable woman. We met thru Gathering of Eagles. As the mother of a Naval Corpsman, this woman inspires me in ways I never thought possible. This is the voice that we need to hear, not the filth that is spewed by....well, you know....Keep up the good fight Debbie, you have the support of many.

Absolute Moral authority?? Wouldn't Cindy Sheehan have raised her son if she believed in absolute moral authority? Oh wait, that's right, she had a change of heart after he died, NOT! If there is one thing I'm absolutely sure of it is Sheehan isn't moral, and she has no authority (she's a puppet for the liberal looney's)

Thank you for all for your encouraging words and your support! Yes I do write my own stuff. It's right from my heart!
