Sharia Comes to Germany
A Muslim woman in Germany being abused by her husband was denied a quick divorce out of dhimmitude.
Judge Christa Datz-Winter opined that the divorce should stay on the slow track because the spouses come from a "Moroccan cultural environment in which it is not uncommon for a man to exert a right of corporal punishment over his wife." She even cited a passage from the Koran indicating that "men are in charge of women."
Germany's Institute for Islamic Questions would like to remind us that not all Muslims beat their wives. Not all of them are terrorists either. It may even be true that not all Muslims want to supplant Western Civilization with their own.

What's interesting about this is that Islamic leaders were some of the ones to come forward and say the decision was wrong.
There was a willingness with this judge to assume dhimmitude even when not asked for.
It seems some people are over eager to give up their own law in favor of Sharia.
This is similar to our homegrown PCers who want to get rid of Native American school mascots even when the Native Americans want the mascots to stay.

Ha. This kinda reminds me of piloting. Its funny when moonbats fly strictly IFR with political correctness as the gauges and end up getting scolded by the very group they were trying to suck up to.

It's against the law to homeschool in Germany because they think education should be secular, yet they deny a woman divorce on grounds of religious law, in this case Shari'a. Germany has lost it.

The judge's decision MIGHT actually be a GOOD thing. MAYBE it will wake people up, the reasonable Muslims have already spoken up, dare we hope that Liberals follow suit?

Lets face it, Westerners in the know, in their own countries are dead scared of the Muslims. To capitulate to foreign cultures and demands in one's own country shows that fear overrides courage in the mind of your average Westerner. How far we have fallen?! A far cry from our ancestors who built great Empires and founded the likes of the USA, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Had the modern Moonbats been around and dominant a few hundred years ago, we'd all be Slaves by now.
