Cosimo Cavallaro has joined the list of artists to promote themselves by passing off anti-Christian blasphemy as art.
Previously Cavallaro's most famous work was the act of coating a NYC hotel room in melted mozzarella. But he's moved on to more sophisticated pranks with "My Sweet Lord," a life-sized anatomically correct statue of Jesus Christ made from 200 pounds of chocolate.
Other works in this genre include Andres Serrano's "Piss Christ" (a photo of a crucifix soaking in urine) and Chris Ofili's "Holy Virgin Mary" (a crude painting meant to represent the Virgin Mary, covered with elephant feces and genitals cut out of porno magazines).
Daring, aren't they? Now let's see a naked chocolate Mohammad.
On a tip from Bill V.

Its a disgrace. I am not a Christian myself so am in no way offended by the crap itself. What offends me is the sheer cowardice of the artist. He/she/it knows that by picking on Christians he/she/it will get publicity without any real threat of beheading.
On top of that, although they say art is subjective....to me thats nothing more than shit. Same as the Cross in urine. Why set out to deliberately belittle Christians? I will have respect as you say, when he does a Mo art.

Rosie's 9-11 Conspiracy Theories have now actually made it on TV.
She is convinced that the WTC was destroyed via demolition rather than airplanes.

I know the lord said "This is my body, broken for you. Eat it in remembrance of me," but surely this is going a little bit too far?
It'd be interesting to see if the catholic idea of transsubstantiation is true, though. Chocolate Jesus throwing moonbats out of churches... ehh, southpark probably already did it.

Maybe I should grab some of my fellow Catholics, burn down some embassies, and carry signs that say "Behead those who insult Catholicism".
I'll bet we wouldn't see anymore "art" like:
-the "Dung Madonna" painting
-the "Piss Christ" photo
-the play "Corpus Christi"
-and "My Sweet Jesus"

You think that God or Jesus really needs religion and the religious to defend them? They've managed to stick around for this length of time in spite of the church rather than because of them.
In any case Tom Waits beat them to the Chocolate Jesus a long time ago. Check it out.
PS the Muslim jibes were just cheap

"PS the Muslim jibes were just cheap"
No, they weren't. They're the whole point, in my opinion. Moonbattery involves rewarding bullies and punishing the law-abiding, and this is a graphic example of that.

Christians are marching in the streets with their posterboards and markers making signs that say "death to the infidels". Christians are demanding that the artist be beheaded since he insulted Jesus. The hotel exhibiting the "Ray Nagin" Jesus is burning.
Oh wait, this is an insult against Christians. They don't riot or burn down buildings. Sorry, got my religions mixed up.

Someone should make a candy Mohammad. Body made out of Dark Chocolate and the head made out of White Chocolate. Then sit back and see what happens.

It is HILARIOUS that people like "jools" are offended we bring muslims into the issue, but aren't at all offended by the Jesus art itself!!
Hypocrisy at it's finest!

make you no idols.
as a christian, i refuse to be offended - i'm not the one going straight to hell for disobeying that particular commandment.

This guy was obviously goading the catholics, because he's a lapsed believer who timed his "art" for the pagan Easter/Asterah tale. The problem with the catholics is they just refuse to let Christ come down from the cross and have Him walk out of the tomb. The protestants aren't much better but at least we don't love graven images, whether they be bittersweet or milk chocolate. This childish display of controversy means nothing. The Lord is yawning. He's got bigger fish to fry.
