15-Year-Old Bests NBC at Producing Pro-Muslim Propaganda
Remember when the liberal elite moonbats at NBC went undercover at a NASCAR race, using hidden cameras to track people dressed up to look conspicuously Muslim and waiting for the redneck yahoos to do something rude so they could blast it at us from the nightly news? It didn't work, partly because NASCAR fans are infinitely more polite than journalists. But if at first you don't succeed, try and try again.
A young fool by the name of Caitlin Dean dressed up in a burqa and wandered around the hallways of the Bacon Academy in Colchester, Connecticut, in hopes someone who resents having to live in constant fear of the next Muslim terror attack might say something impolite. The idea apparently came from a Middle Eastern Studies teacher, who wanted to "promote her class" by having students dress up like Muslims.
Supposedly Caitlin managed to draw a few hostile comments. If only the execs at NBC had thought to try their stunt among 15-year-olds!
She didn't respond to the alleged comments that she had gone to such lengths to elicit because:
I am a freshman. I like to avoid making waves.
An article sickeningly supportive of this asinine performance quotes a spokesman from the Hamas front group CAIR, who unsurprisingly shares the media's approval of any activity designed to make Muslim aggressors look like victims, so that political correctness will prevent us from defending ourselves against their terror campaign.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to send young Caitlin on a one-way trip to Saudi Arabia, where she could wear her burqa every day, safe from infidels and our oppressive insensitivity?

On tips from Bill V. and Wiggins.

Why are people like this not laughed off the streets? The most damaging thing the hippies of the 60's have done is to destroy our collective sense of shame and propriety. In a healthy, serious society this misguided brat would be reprimanded for her immature theatrics. But we no longer live in a healthy, serious society, and there are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

Liberal loonies! I predict she'll go out Rachel Corrie style -- on the wrong end of a tractor in Palestine.

So, why were you walking around dressed like an ENEMY OF WOMANHOOD?

You'd probably get some disparaging comments if you walked around with a ski mask on and carried ski poles, but I don't believe a logical conclusion would be that the commentators hate skiers.

What do you think the odds are the 15 year old drama queen fabricated most of the quotes she relayed to her teacher? Do you think she'll get a "A" now?
Also, Bacon Academy? Come on. No wonder they hate Muslims, the pork eaters.

Oops, I'd like to leave class now, teacher.

KHarn, I have no trouble with Muslim women wearing burqas. They have every right to-just not wanting to see it in Western societies. I believe that the Muslims SHOULD reject Western decadence. Westerners should reject it too. What Muslim women wear is better than the slutification industry that rules American "fashion." Don't misinterpret, I don't agree with Muslims most of the time, and don't want to excuse thier behaviors, but Western immorality is destroying us faster than thier terror will.

Wearing a ascarf to cover the hair or modest clothing is one thing, but hiding the face and body of a woman so effectively as to make then unrecognisable? It's just an inverse of the same problem. You know how the burqha is justified? Not as a protection of women's modesty, but as a protection of the woman by preventing islamic men from being inflamed to lust by the sight of an ankle or a bit of skin.

All that may be true Archonix, but Muslim women want to wear it-they see it at being pure. They recently told dubya's Karen Hughes that they were happy with chauffeurs and the veils. Just because they don't want to live like us doesn't mean they are miserable. I personally don't think Islam is compatable with the West, but at least they practice thier backward religion wholly rather than the Burger King religion approach fashionable in the West. They see thier existence threatened by Western decadence, and I'm just saying I can see how they would fear it-just look at what it has done to us.

Cammo clothing is part of my heritage as an outdoorsman. I grew up wearing it.
Wearing cammo is not permited in most schools nowdays.
Let's see - just WHO was it that made cammo clothing un-PC? Oh, yeah - silly intollerant hypocrite liberals.

I sincerely doubt the majority of Muslim women are as excited by the burqa as you seem to believe. Let's not overlook the powerful tool of coercion--maybe it's best to tell an imam what he wants to hear?
You know who dress very conservatively? The Amish. Hey, let's impose the Amish mode of dress for everyone by rule of law, whaddaya say! Surely THEN we could halt this slide into decadence! Agreed? If not, why not? If it's an abhorent thought for the free peoples of the West, why on Earth are you advocating it for the oppressed women of the East? And by the way, Amish children almost always live rebelliously as a secular person in their teens, in spite of being reared in a very conservative atmosphere, so apparently clothing has little to no impact on the morality of a social group. Those who return to the Amish fold (and the majority do) are acting out of free will, not under duress from the government.

Ninja,
The point is that those who support Sharia Law love the Burka and love trampling on women's rights. I'm sure the Amish are repressive against women as well because they are partly stuck in the 18th or 19th Century, but they are hardly using the barrel of a gun to force their morality upon others. They are committed pacifists and endured discrimination for their beliefs on this subject during the world wars.
As far as this post goes, If you were to wear a George Bush T-Shirt at UC Berkeley you would be subject to much worse abuse than what this girl claims to have "suffered" from.

Congradulations Ninja and FreedomNow, you have succumbed to the typical left wing dogma of the day-that all past ways and mores are "oppressive" and that everything new and modern is "better" and that living simply and nobly as the Amish do is revolting. The Amish dress the way they like to dress, that reflects thier beliefs. It may be the dreaded "conservative" to you, but I admire thier strength of character. The snide remark that they are "stuck in the 18th century is also revolting-they are still around, and are still happily existing-they aren't STUCK anywhere. I do not subscribe to that sort of moonbattery. You also completely misinterpreted and misrepresented my thoughts as well. I was NOT talking about mandating clothing standards-I'm merely pointing out that the degenerate West doesn't need to impose our decadence on others-nor should they us. The issue is not burqas or clothing-that was almost a metaphor by me. Liberals make a habit of twisting what people say into things that you did not mean. I did not "advocate" anything other than women's rights to practice thier heritage and faith as they please. You might not like other people's ways, but they might not agree with yours either. My entire meaning of my post was thus: it would be nice if the West returned to the traditional standards of piety, religion, faith, and above all-SELF RESTRAINT, because otherwise a free society cannot exist. The Muslims are not superior to the West in most areas, for sure, but those dreadful Amish have far more chacter than most "modern" Westerners. It's funny how people blindly subscribe to the modern fashionable dogma without thought-because the Amish don't practice egalitarian bologny and the women enjoy raising kids and staying home while the husbands are out working in the traditional family unit-they are "oppressed." I'm don't subscribe to modern liberalism, sorry-I subscribe to what is tried and true and works for society.
Posted by: Chris at March 16, 2007 1:29 PM
FreedomNow is imposing modern Western definitions of "women's rights" on others. If a Muslim woman wants to wear a veil and an Amish wants to stay home and cook and raise kids, that's her business-who are we to say you can't? Who says that it's a violation of thier "rights?" Us? I'm sure that there are Muslim men who treat thier wives well women who enjoy the burqa-there's a billion Muslims-you don't know them all. And what evidence do you have that "almost all Amish rebel" as a teenager? Do you know all the many thousands of Amish and thier thousands of children? Your making some wide brush strokes. I'm not saying Muslims are better-they are very flawed; I'm saying we are far from the perfect world policemen either.

Plop the dumb b___h down in Tehran fully burqa-ed, and let her fend for herself. If she's still alive in 10 days, pick her up, bring her back to the U.S. and let's see if she's had a "change of heart."
Actually, that might be the best possible way to educate the uneducated Gen X'ers, Y'ers and now Z'ers (like this ignorant twit) in just how good they've got it: spend a little time in a truly fascistic society, in literal fear for your life for uttering the wrong word, or making the wrong gesture, meeting with the wrong people, reading the wrong book or magazine, watching the wrong television or listening to the wrong radio program, 24/7/365.
"Mommy, Mommy! PLEASE come get me and take me home! Wah, Wah, Wah!"
