Zero Tolerance For Wetting Pants

In Danville, Pennsylvania, a 12-year-old special ed student was charged with disorderly conduct after wetting her pants at school. According to her mother, the girl wet her pants in terror after being confronted by the principal. But school officials think she did it on purpose.

Surprisingly, no one has called for the federal government to provide students with diapers.

On a tip from Wiggins.

My daughter is in a special ed program right now, and if something like this happened to her, I guaran-damn-tee you that I'd be getting a piece of some government bureacrat's ass in the parking lot of the school.

The ironic thing is that they probably employed and illegal alien in the clean-up.

I'd like to hear the other side of the story on this one. There is no justification for putting a disorderly conduct on the a 12 retard. However, with all the P.C. bullshit, and the lawyers lurking around every corner, it may have been a last ditch desperation move by the school. Unfortunate that the little girl is collateral damage.

you're an idiot st. james! no one said this child is a "retard" - i have a son who has had to take one special ed class, yet also has honors classes. you imply too much.

if she was frightened of the principal, there may be good reason. perhaps they should interview some of the other children with their parents on hand.

the instincts of children are usually spot on.

That comment by St James was disgusting. Calling a twelve year old girl with a disability a "retard" is sick and revolting. Just as revolting as the story itself, as a matter of fact. Why can't people in America exercise common decency?

I read the article and I have a feeling it's more a case of school officials not adequately trained to deal with a special ed student. Many of them are not mentally challenged by any means, just need special attention in certain areas. If they're at their "wit's end", I'd say they aren't experienced enough, and need someone with a little more training and a little more "wit".

Instead, they call the cops...nice.

Imagine what was going through the cop's mind when he got the call for that one. "One-Adam-12, One-Adam-12, head down to the school. A little girl wet her pants."
