What Nappy Didn't Say
Hot AZ It Gets observes that Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano's State of the State speech the other day was not so notable for what Nappy said, as for what she did not say.
The speech mainly consisted of a Clintonesque laundry list of Big Government spending initiatives, many of which are to be enacted by Executive Order to prevent the state legislature from spoiling the spending spree by injecting fiscal responsibility. The list went on for so long, it left Nappy the Troll with no time to mention personal responsibility or the need to transition people off welfare. Despite her focus on education, tuition credits for private schools, charters schools, and school vouchers weren't discussed either, nor were character-building after-school clubs like the Boy Scouts. Though Arizona has the nation's highest crime rate, references to public safety were limited to noting that children need to come to school "safe." There was no direct or even indirect reference to God or religion.
But in the last half minute of the speech, she did get around to acknowledging the number one issue in Arizona and the reason for the sky-high crime rate: the catastrophic invasion pouring across the Mexican border. After a brief mention of human smuggling and the Border Patrol reading license plates as cars cross the border, Nappy wrapped up by implying that it would be un-American not to welcome the invaders.

So, if America had no right to invade the sovereign nation of Iraq, why are those opposed to the war so supportive of the invasion of this country by illegal aliens?
I don't get it. Why do people think that the US has no right to control who comes into the country, especially given the current state of things. I'm sick of this whole they want a better life crap. Bull. They want what every other crybaby Leftist wants: Free everything at the governments' (taxpayers') expense.
