What If Barack Obama's Suit Isn't Empty?
Posted by Dave Blount at January 4, 2007 9:08 AM
Here's some good news about the Dems' new heartthrob Barack Hussein Obama: he says he's never used heroin:
Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though.
"Blow" refers to his cocaine use. Here's another quote from his memoir "Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance":
Junkie. Pothead. That's where I'd been headed: the final, fatal role of the young would-be black man. . . . I got high [to] push questions of who I was out of my mind.
But the scary part isn't that he used to be a druggie. It's that he used to be — and still is — a paranoid racist moonbat:
We were always playing on the white man's court . . . by the white man's rules. If the principal, or the coach, or a teacher . . . wanted to spit in your face, he could, because he had the power and you didn't. . . . The only thing you could choose was withdrawal into a smaller and smaller coil of rage.
And the final irony: should you refuse this defeat and lash out at your captors . . . they would have a name for that too. Paranoid. Militant.
"Paranoid" and "militant" do sum up this point of view pretty well — and according to a preface to the new edition of his book, Obama still holds it. He says he would tell the same story now "even if certain passages have proven to be inconvenient politically."
At least he isn't a Muslim. He just has a name like one — which perversely enough may account for his popularity among Dems, who can be counted on to develop affection for America's mortal enemies. His fans at WaPo suggest that Obama's skin tone isn't his only presidential qualification; there's the sound of his name too:
Many say he offers something new in American politics: an African American with a less-than-traditional name…
His "less-than-traditional" name doesn't just sound Muslim; "Barack Hussein Obama" specifically recalls "Saddam Hussein" and "Osama bin Laden" — to the point that even the presumably sympathetic CNN would accidentally broadcast something like this:

…and left-wing Senator Chappaquiddick Ted Kennedy would say something like this:
Of course Obama's name isn't his fault. It's just a bit of serendipity that enhances his subconscious appeal for libs.
Obama has been called an empty suit because he only has two years of relevant experience and hasn't done anything in them. If only his suit — and his politically precious dark skin and Muslim-sounding name — really were empty, and not stuffed with the same sort of paranoid racist moonbattery that gave us the Black Panthers.

On a tip from Wiggins.
