Ten Most Polluted Places

The Blacksmith Institute has released a list of the world's ten most polluted places:

  • Chernobyl, Ukraine
  • Dzerzhinsk, Russia
  • Haina, Dominican Republic
  • Kabwe, Zambia
  • La Oroya, Peru
  • Linfen, China
  • Maiuu Suu, Kyrgyzstan
  • Norilsk, Russia
  • Ranipet, India
  • Rudnaya Pristan/Dalnegorsk, Russia

All of them have something in common that might surprise moonbats: they're not in the USA. But if you enjoy wallowing in Gaiaistic guilt, don't let this stop you. People in other parts of the world are only forced to engage in activities that harm Mother Earth because America stingily refuses to put them on welfare.

What? No dot to mark the Kennedy compound?

On a tip from Wiggins.

I always knew this was the case, China and India are far more polluted than the U.S. In fact, an argument can be made that the U.S. is overall the cleanest country. It was the U.S. where the environmental movement was born, with Rachel Carson's (false) book "Silent Spring." If you've ever seen photos of Beijing or Shanghai on a summer day, you would believe the stats that the air is so dirty its equal to smoking 10 packs of cigarettes a day. You literally can't see the building across the street because of the smoggy haze.

That's right Chris, and if the enviro-fascists have their way, the US would be exactly like China in every way, but it would be oh, so progressive and equal, right?

On another site I got into a discussion with a Liberal (Who later admitted that she was delibratly trying to cause trouble) who insisted that the United States was number one in enviormental violations. I then rattled off some statistics and she ADMITTED that she KNEW all that, but concluded with (I still remember the exact quote) "But America is still the worst offender".

Typical Liberal; reality is never alowed to get in the way of their all-consuming CAUSE.

VH,
You just wait till we sign Kyoto. The UN will clean up all these places.
Then there will be "Free Bubble-up and Rainbow Stew" for everyone.
