Mother Moonbat Invited to Visit Real Victims of Oppression
In an attempt to squeeze a few more seconds out of her elapsed 15 minutes, Cindy Sheehan has traveled to the totalitarian slave state Cuba, where she will participate in an anti-American publicity stunt featuring denunciations of the treatment of the terrorists vacationing at Club Gitmo as insufficiently obsequious. While she's there, she might avail herself of an opportunity to visit prisoners who really are poorly treated.
The Ladies in White, a group of women whose husbands and sons have been thrown into Castro's dungeons, wrote a letter to Mother Moonbat, asking her to visit one of these nightmarish hellholes, where political prisoners live amid rats and insects, without potable water or adequate medical care.
The jailed relatives are independent journalists, members of outlawed political parties, and human rights activists — real ones, not phonies like Sheehan, who clearly sympathizes with the terrorists and dictators who unlike the USA really do violate human rights.
Unfortunately, the Ditch Witch will be too busy denouncing America to concern herself with actual oppression.

Why doesn't the US revoke or suspend their visa while they are down there? Let them cook in Cuba for a bit.

I've been to Cuba on a missions trip two years ago. I've personally seen how messed- up and oppressive that country has become. "Uncle Fidel" lets his people live in complete squalor while he owns a vacation palace in Europe. In spite of this, the Christians I met there (Such as in the small rural village of Baguanos) have immense faith and joy in spite of their hard lives, I fully salute them. It was truly humbling to meet them. They deserve a much better ruler than Fidel could ever be. Yet, I'm sure Sheehan the Sea Hag will be too busy rubbing elbows with Castro and the other "cultural elite" of Cuba and talking with them about how much America sucks to bother worrying about a bunch of peasants.
btw, the part about independent journalists being jailed does not surprise me at all. Anyone here remember that comic strip 'Spy Vs. Spy,' that they have in "Mad Magazine"? The guy who made that comic, Antonio Prohias, was a Cuban refugee. He was forced to flee to America when he learned that Fidel wanted to have him arrested for making anti- Communist/anti- Castro cartoons.
