Medical Marijuana Man Molests Little Boy
Until recently, former director of the Marin Alliance for Medical Marijuana Alan Lawrence Ager was best known for being the first Californian to try to beat a drug rap by invoking the Medical Marijuana Initiative, which was passed two months after he was arrested following the discovery of over 135 marijuana plants on his property. He ended up serving a year in jail, and was allowed to possess pot during his five-year probation on the grounds that he said he had a backache.
A few years previously authorities had found 1,100 marijuana plants on his property, but Ager escaped drug charges on a technicality, though they got him on related money-laundering charges, for which he was sentenced to probation.
Now the 59-year-old has been charged with sexually molesting a 7-year-old boy over a period of more than a year. The last incident occurred on Christmas day.
Let's hope the legal system takes his case a little more seriously this time.
