Man Crashes Car, Sues Friends For Serving Him Drinks

Robert Nunez — apparently an illegal alien — certainly seems to be catching on quickly to the current American way of getting ahead in life. First, behave irresponsibly. Second, blame someone else for the consequences.

Unfortunately for Nunez, this road to riches left him paraplegic when he crashed his car in the Boston area after soaking up eight cocktails at a restaurant where he used to work and then a bar where the employees knew him. He is suing both places for serving him, on the grounds that he was under 21 years old at the time, although it might have been hard to determine his actual age because he was carrying a fake ID when he rammed his SUV into another car.

"He wanted everything that we all want," says Nunez's attorney, the aptly named John Dodge.

Sure: to behave with reckless abandon, and then make someone else pay for it. But he won't be able to sue his way out of his wheelchair.

On a tip from Wiggins.

But he won't be able to sue his way out of his wheelchair.

And he won't be able to get coffee at a particular Dunkin' Donuts.

Hey Van, I think your home page is getting a bit long, it's taking a while to load, even in a high speed connection. You might want to trim the number of articles that are shown.

there was a particular story today out of texas where some poor fool left his keys in his car; the car was stolen and ended up in a highspeed chase. the person ended up running the car into a restaurant, fled on foot and guess who's being held responsible for the entire incident?

the owner of the vehicle. it is against the law to leave your keys in your vehicle in the state of texas!

No you're not, I'm alone.

(Devil's Advocate) I like the homepage the way it is =P (hah!)

Anyways, why don't we all get drunk, steal someone elses car and crash it, then we can sue the bars for giving us more than we needed and sue the driver for leaving his car keys in his own car!

We'll be millionaires I tell you!

Why don't we all become illegal aliens, so we can engage in social security fraud and tax evasion and get away with it?

OT: Culture of Corruption Hypocrisy Alert: Botox Bolshevik Nancy Pelosi Exempts American Samoa from Minimum Wage Increase to benefit giant corporate contributor in her home district

So, basically, while small businesses are driven out of business, the donks help out their big business contributors.

It may seem paradoxical for a socialist like Nancy Botoxi to support big business, but not really. A few large corporations are easier to control and regulate than a lot of smaller ones. In uber-socialist countries like France and Sweden, small businesses have been almost driven to extinction by high labor costs and government regulations.

Also, driving out entrepreneurs and small businesses helps consolidate power among a ruling elite, which is the real goal of democratic socialism.

Steve, I changed the site so that the home page only goes back three days instead of a week. Hopefully it will load faster.

that's what i meant, steve - and it's working much faster, van helsing. thank you.

nanc, you really need to be sensitive to my attempts at humor, or lack thereof.

I knew what you meant.

Nunez's lawyer:

"He wanted everything we all want."

I want a pony. But is hasn't shown up yet. Where's my lawyer.

Why don't we all become democrats, then we can do and say whatever we want with no consequences because the press ignores it, then blame the republicans when they do the same thing.

But back on topic, this is exactly why I haven't opened a bar yet. For years I've wanted to, an Irish pub, maybe, but the wife is 100% against it because she doesn't want anyone hurt or killed if they drink in the bar. Plus they'd sue us and getting all my stuff.

I really do feel sorry for this guy, but I can't see him blaming someone else for his actions, especially when he deliberatly used a fake i.d. Plus the fact that if he's old enough to even pass for 21, he's probably an adult anyway, and should have been more responsible.

When I was in college the drinking age was 18. We've got guys in Iraq fighting for our freedom who aren't even 21. If they can be responsible to fight a war with advanced weapons, and to use proper judgement on when and when not to take another life, this guy could be responsible enough to not get too drunk, and if he did, then to not drive.

I do feel sorry for him though.
