Illegal Aliens Re-Arrested Up to Six Times

Posted by Dave Blount at January 10, 2007 9:27 AM

Yesterday the Justice Department released data indicating that illegal aliens who are caught and released are getting re-arrested as many as six times.

A study of 100 illegal aliens arrested in 2004 found that 73 of them were arrested a total of 429 times on a wide variety of charges.

No doubt there are many upstanding citizens in Mexico. But they aren't likely to sneak across the border to invade another country. Mexico is basically exporting its dross across our unguarded border. If only we could return the favor and move Hollywood to Tijuana.

But of course, many of these criminals aren't Mexican — they come through Mexico from the Devil knows where. Mexican criminals are usually deported, resulting in them immediately bouncing back across the border again. The policy with OTMs has often been just to let them go, although Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff claims they're not going to do that anymore.

The situation is even worse in cities like San Francisco, which has declared itself a "city and county of refuge" and refuses to cooperate with Homeland Security, despite having won $1.1 million in federal funding to help deal with the illegal immigration crisis.

Since the government obviously isn't serious about enforcing our laws, defending our borders, or protecting law-abiding citizens from foreign criminals, why don't we just declare anarchy? At least then we wouldn't have to give our money to San Francisco.
