Fifth Column Takes Control of the House Judiciary Committee

Democrats have officially taken over Congress, and the stars have not yet fallen out of the sky. But that's not to say we are not in some very deep trouble. Consider that John Conyers is now Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. He's the guy that submitted the following resolution, less than four years after 9/11:

Resolved, That the House of Representatives —

1. condemns bigotry, acts of violence, and intolerance against any religious group, including our friends, neighbors, and citizens of the Islamic faith;

2. declares that the civil rights and civil liberties of all individuals, including those of the Islamic faith, should be protected;

3. recognizes that the Quran, the holy book of Islam, as any other holy book of any religion, should be treated with dignity and respect; and

4. calls upon local, State, and Federal authorities to work to prevent bias-motivated crimes and acts against all individuals, including those of the Islamic faith.

It all sounds very noble and high-minded, at a superficial glance. But why is Islam singled out in each case? Democrats certainly don't seem to have a problem with bigotry against Christians; nor are they like to demand that Bibles be "treated with dignity and respect." But as of September 11, 2001, all things Muslim have a special appeal for liberals.

As Baron Bodissey wisely observes at Gates of Vienna, the goal of Conyers and his friends at CAIR is effectively to add another item to the list above:

5. Muslims are the equivalent of a racial minority.

That is, they are to be officially designated a privileged class. Saying anything they don't want you to say is "hate speech" and will not be tolerated. Therefore resisting their ongoing efforts to first dhimmify and then Islamicize the West will not be tolerated.

It's as if fifth-column Congressmen during WWII passed resolutions paving the way toward criminalizing criticism of Nazis and Japanese imperialism.

No amount of squishy politically correct B.S. can change the fact that whether or not we are at war with Islam, Islam is at war with us. The guy now chairing the Judiciary Committee has made it crystal clear which side he's on. And the rest of his party doesn't seem to have a problem with it.

John Conyers, an American Quisling.

Jumping into bed with Satan now might be fun, but you'll get burned in the end.

Of course, what's even worse is that people vote for these cretins.

Cleaning up Congress is so easy. All you have to do is not vote for the incumbent. People just keep re-electing the same buffoons every two or six years.

Can you imagine what would happen if all 435 members of the House got the boot, along with 1/3 of the Senate, in 2008? Talk about sending a message. That would be one of the greatest things that could happen to this country.

Longevity breeds power, and power breeds corruption. Keeping a steady flow of people going through Congress means that the lobbyists can't make long term friends to do their bidding. They'll need to start from scratch each year.

And speaking of pompous asses:

Rangel moved at lightning speed to boot the man he once told The Post is a "son of a bitch."

Even before Rangel officially took charge as the new chairman - which will happen at noon today - Capitol workers expunged the last traces of Cheney and brought in Rangel's plush furniture.

A real man of the people, that Rangel.

I'll take Cheney any day. He was Secretary of Defense the last year and a few months I was in the Marines. He was far superior to that wuss Clinton had.

I think part of the hatred toward Cheney comes from him being one of those people liberals hate the most ... someone who built a fortune on discipline and hard work.

Kerry was born into wealth even before he became the world's most overpaid gigolo. John Edwards made his money by chasing ambulance's suing baby-doctors. Bush got by on family connections. Cheney was the only self-made man among them. And the only one of the four I had any real respect for.

I got to see Cheney in person at the US-India business conference last year. I didn't get to meet him, but I was in the fourth row. During his speech, he looked right at me and said, "oil." It's an experience I'll always treasure.

Conyers is a committed Marxist. And he has aligned with the devil (Islam) while pandering for votes. What this moron doesn't realize is that he is also an INFIDEL, in the minds of his voters. And he is not Arabic, therefore he could never really be a true Muslim, according to the Islamofascists we are fighting.
According to Open Secrets, John Conyers net worth in 2005 was between $10,000 and $15,000. Anyone have a problem with that? Where is this slug hiding his money? Or did he buy a freezer from William Jefferson?
Pelosi is practicing politics as usual. Conyers was one of the founders of the Congressional Black Caucus. She won't buck them, EVER. So she will put another crook in charge of the Judicial Committee.
Republicans have a golden opportunity to show that the Democrats are not serious about "draining the swamp". Will they take the lead?
I doubt it.

The only rats Pelosi is concerned with are the Republican ones. (And I grant you, that party has its fair share.) But Democrat rats? They'll continue to scurry about, hiding in dark corners, spreading their filth and disease while so-called Democrat leadership looks the other way.

"Republicans have a golden opportunity to show that the Democrats are not serious about "draining the swamp". Will they take the lead?"

I doubt it, too. The morons elected the same old idiots to be their minority status leaders.

You know, Newt really pissed me off, but he is the only politician I could ever listen to. He should have been put in as chairman of the RNC. Moral failings aside, and that's my beef with him, he is a great idea man.
