Rick Perry, Border Security Turncoat
Bill Richardson isn't the only border state governor to dismiss the idea of defending our territory from the ongoing Mexican invasion. Still more shamefully, Rick Perry of Texas, who was recently reelected after calling for increased border security, now characterizes building a wall to help keep us safe from foreign criminals as "preposterous."
With the election behind him, Perry has decided that he prefers new guest worker programs to securing the border. He is denouncing attempts to put an end to Mexico's anchor baby colonization strategy as divisive.
His election promises to do something about the chaotic and frightening border situation have given way to mealy-mouthed rhetoric like this:
We need to look at ways to be bringing people together rather than driving wedges between them.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could drive a wedge between irresponsible phonies and positions of authority?
On a tip from Jimbo.

I think Bill Richardson and Rick Perry both said what they had to say to trick the peasants into electing them, and now that they're in office, they are acting like elitists again. Did anyone really believe the Republican or Democrat elites were serious about border securitty?
Much like Nancy Pelosi making a lot of noise about "cleaning up Congress," and now warmly welcoming corrupt sleazebags John Murtha, Alcee Hastings, and Alan Mollohan back into the fold. Did anyone really believe the Democrats were going to fight corruption, just when they were in a position to take advantage of it?

"We need to look at ways to be bringing people together rather than driving wedges between them."
Why are we the only one's who ever try to play nice? These illegals are clearly taking advantage of idiots like Perry and our unenforced policies. It's no different with Muslim extremists. We (Dems & Europe) play nice and they take advantage by forcing violent ideology on us. Wake Up Lefties in America, Europe is already lost!!!
