More Sundance Sickness
In case "Zoo," which is about a man dying of a perforated colon after having sex with a horse, doesn't provide enough depravity to make moonbats feel at home at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, "Teeth" was also chosen from among the 3,287 submissions to represent... whatever it is that Sundance represents.
Here's what it's about:
High school student Dawn works hard at suppressing her budding sexuality by being the local chastity group's most active participant. Her task is made even more difficult by her bad boy stepbrother Brad's increasingly provocative behavior at home. A stranger to her own body, innocent Dawn discovers she has a toothed vagina when she becomes the object of violence.
I wonder what "increasingly provocative behavior" means.
Moonbats will also appreciate "Everything's Cool," which is apparently a rip-off of Al Gore's hysterical overindulgence in climate change hyperbole, "An Inconvenient Truth." Then there's "For the Bible Tells Me So," a documentary exposing Christians' "agenda of stigmatizing the gay community." Those who think we've gone too long without having the Abu Ghraib fiasco rubbed in our faces will be relieved to see "Ghosts of Abu Ghraib." "No End in Sight" and "Grace Is Gone" will provide more defeatist propaganda pertaining to the war in Iraq.
Imagine how fast you'd be laughed out of Robert Redford's festival if you made an optimistic movie about decent people behaving honorably — though maybe it would be accepted as a comedy.
