Moonbat Rabbi Banishes Christmas From Seattle Airport
All 15 Christmas trees have been removed from Seattle's Sea-Tac airport after a rabbi, claiming that Christmas trees are offensive, threatened to sue if the airport did not erect an eight-foot menorah. If he were a scientologist, he probably would have demanded an eight-foot-high L. Ron Hubbard novel.
Unless we start standing up to these Grinches and moonbats, Christmas will soon be completely eradicated.
On a tip from V the K.

Thanks for the tip. So, does the left still deny that there's a War Against Christmas?

All the airport had to do was let the rabbit have his menorah and lighting.
Instead, they panicked, froze up, and over-reacted.
SeaTac is a lousy-run airport in other regards. Why should this be any different?

it would have been more appropriate to christians to put out the menorahs - the menorah has more to do with christmas than trees. the menorah is rich in symbolism.
this war on christmas is beyond ridiculous.
PUT THE TREES BACK AND AN EQUAL AMOUNT OF MENORRAHS!
if people are offended, like they tell us about so much garbage at theaters and on t.v. - "if you don't like it - don't look at it!"
hey...wait...that only applies to us...nevermind.

The Christmas trees were secular. The rabbi wanted an overtly religious symbol. If the airport had put one up for him, they would have had to put up one for anybody who complained, which, in the moonbat-infested PacNorthwest, would have been everybody. Maybe they could have put up an eight-foot dreidel.
What they should have done is put up giant, Soviet-style posters of Marx, Lenin, and Castro wearing Santa hats. The moonbats would have loved that.
Ever since the SCOTUS latched on to the idiotic idea that the Establishment Clause bans any public display relating to religious faith, this Pandora's box has been opened. How are people supposed to learn to respect other religions if religious displays are banned from public view?

Interesting observation. Perhaps the rabbi really wanted a kabbalistic tree of enlightenment or whatever the hell they call it. (Sorry, I'm behind on my Kabbalah reading). I've never had a "christmas tree" since leaving the parental home, and never will. Its origin is as heathen as that of the easter bunny. Even so, the airport shouldn't have backed down. It's their choice.
Now had the airport installed a fish symbol...a true symbol of Christianity... then we could expect a bona fide argument.

One Rabbi does not speak for all Jews. He is not a Pope.
I suggest that Seattle get together with the local Jewish council to work things out. I believe the Rabbi is overstepping his bounds, and Seattle is going overboard on this Church/State hogwash.

Please ignore my previous post.
After finding out what really happened, I was wrong in my assumptions.
My sincere appologies to the Rabbi.
But, Seattle should be given a MOONBATTERY award.

The trees are going back up. A pole in the local paper is running 80% against the airports original decision.
The Rabbi did not want the trees removed, and he is not to blame for the airports reaction.
