Ludicrous Lawsuit of the Day

It's never too late to loot taxpayers with a frivolous lawsuit. In Albany, New York, an appellate court voted 5-0 not to dismiss a claim filed by a guy named Thomas Wilson against the Vestal Central School District. His complaint? Nine years previously, his daughter's school had scheduled her for the same lunch period as another student who had been picking on her, and who subsequently pulled a chair out from under her in the cafeteria.

If only settlements could come out of the pockets of the nitwit judges who fail to laugh these suits out of court. No word on how many $millions Wilson is demanding.
