George Clooney & Co.'s Depraved Take on WWII Set to Bomb
Smirking leftist George Clooney's latest indulgence in cinematic moonbattery is so awful, it's a flop even among liberals. Proving yet again that nothing good is sacred to moonbats, "The Good German" is apparently an attempt to pervert WWII romances like "Casablanca" into their anti-American, moral relativist antithesis.
Fortunately few people are likely to waste their time on it. As Ace of Spades notes, its 30% positive rating at Rotten Tomatoes is absolutely disastrous for a pretentious movie that promotes a liberal point of view.
Not even the ultra-left Village Voice can stomach this atrocity:
Walking through the Humphrey Bogart role, Clooney seems to be forever glancing back at his director. He's at once inanely overconfident and distractingly ineffectual[....] The Good German is seriously deficient in the stars' star power and narrative excitement. The movie is lovingly framed, carefully lit, and fatally insipid. The direction is slack; the pacing is perfunctory.
Back in Bogart's time, who would have believed that Hollywood would one day degenerate to the point of making WWII movies where Americans are the bad guys?

On a tip from V the K.

Thanks for the tip. Here's another: Remember how Target banned the Salvation Army from collecting outside their stores? Well, apparently, Glorifying Communist Serial Killers is okay.
I haven't shopped in Target in over three years.

Clooney makes me sick anymore. It is just another symbol of the downward slide of our society. It used to be unthinkable for a public celebrity to demonize thier own country, but today's celebrities do it routinely; simply disgusting.

Fah! If Komissar Clooney really wanted to make a movie about some good Germans, then he should have focused on the members of the White Rose.
Don't have a single Clooney movie in the collection either. Three Kings? Please, give me Kelly's Heroes. Ocean's 11, give me the original with the Rat Pack. All he seems to do is re-package things, even his political view is re-packaged anti-Americanism left over from the Cold War.
Perhaps 'Ein Gut Deutchelander' will be Clooney's 'Ishtar' moment. We can hope. Tschuss.

One time not too long ago, I was buying groceries with my mother. As we got to the cash register, I noticed on the magazine rack that 'People' (I think) named Clooney their 'Sexiest Man Alive.' Not being able to resist the opportunity to insult Georgie- Boy, I told my mom, "Check it out, they made a typo on the cover," then, pointing to the word 'Sexiest,' I said, "They misspelled 'Stupidest.'"
