Dennis Kucinich to Run For President Again

Things may get ugly in 2008, but at least we'll have some comic relief. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) is once again throwing his propeller beanie into the ring for President.

Kucinich certainly did a bang-up job as Mayor of Cleveland, which became the first major American city to default on its debts since the Great Depression under his regime, during which it earned the nickname the Mistake by the Lake.

Another of Kucinich's accomplishments is his support for SOA Watch, a group devoted to closing down the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (formerly the U.S. Army School of the Americas — SOA). SOA played a critical role in suppressing communist insurgencies in Latin America during the Cold War.

Kucinich is so opposed to the idea of defending America from incoming nuclear missiles that he actually filed a lawsuit against the President to prevent him from withdrawing from the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty. He again attempted to put American policy into the grasping hands of our courts by suing Bush over the war in Iraq.

On Kucinich's agenda is the creation of yet another federal bureaucracy, the Department of Peace, which in his words "will be to support disarmament, treaties, peaceful coexistence, and peaceful consensus building." It would guide a foreign policy consisting of holding hands, singing Kumbaya, and hoping the terrorists leave us alone — while keeping in mind that if they don't, we probably deserve the worst that happens to us.

Kucinich wants dramatic increases in government spending in most every area, except of course defense, which he would slash. As for illegal immigration — he's for it. He is against the War on Terror, even asserting that we should not hold governments responsible for terror attacks launched from their territory.

A liberal's liberal through and through, there's little doubt that Kucinich could do for the country what he did for Cleveland — if not worse.

Don't forget this diminutive twit is a "vegan" whose wacked-out supporters held contests to get him dates -- with very desperate women -- during his last presidential, ummm, bid. If it could be called that.

He looks like he has a touch of Downs Syndrome. He should be bagging groceries like the other "special people" instead of in Congress. Alas, he fits in with the incoming leadership...

Considering he holds true leftist values near and dear to his heart, I'm surprised he didn't do better in the last election primary. What's that? The far left aren't in the majority? Oops, my bad.

Off-Topic, but I'd like to nominate as Anti-Moonbats of the Week, the inmates of the Maryland State Prison in Jessup.

Richard Spicknall II, who seven years ago shot and killed his two small children while they were strapped in their car seats, was found dead in the showers at a Jessup prison over the weekend, authorities said yesterday. The state medical examiner ruled the death a "homicide by general asphyxia." Spicknall, 34, was discovered with a rag or towel stuffed in his mouth.

It's a sad state of affairs when convicted villains have a better grasp of the concept of Justice than our so-called Justice system. Too bad we can't lock up Lynne Stewart in there.

As Letterman said in Jan 04 in his top ten list still rings true.

"Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) is once again throwing his propeller beanie into the ring for President."

And once again Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) will get his ass handed to him in defeat during the Democratic primary campaign.
