Congress Denounces French Town For Honoring Abu-Jamal
It may only be symbolic, but at last the House has passed a measure to which no sane person could object: a resolution denouncing Saint-Denis, France for naming a street in honor of the cop-murdering vermin Mumia Abu-Jamal.
Abu-Jamal (nee Wesley Cook; Muslim names have a real cache on the Left) was sentenced to death after murdering Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981, yet is still breathing, due to the moonbattery that has all but incapacitated our judicial system. The evidence convicting him left no question of his guilt.
Progressives regard sneaking up behind a cop and shooting him in the back as an act of heroism, making Abu-Jamal a big hit among moonbats in general and particularly in France. Abu-Jamal's other lefty credentials include being a rabidly anti-American black Marxist. He was involved in the violent leftist cults MOVE and the Black Panthers.
Abu-Jamal has been named an honorary citizen of Paris. A more contemptible gesture would be difficult to imagine.

The measure passed 368-31, indicating there were at least a few Dem votes. They do what they think is right until political correctness sets in.

Interesting that political correctness on the left requires support for convicted cop killers.

Here's a suggestion to counter the French move.
Let's name a few streets in the U.S. how about:
Hitler Avenue
Himmler Street
Vichy Boulevard
All in honor of those poor, mis-understood individuals wrongly accused of crimes against France and its (smelly) citizens.

V the K,
It is interesting. I just meant that if the roots of political correctness had found their way into this issue before the vote, I think more than 31 would have voted against it. For liberals, it's all about your image and how many people you can make like you, (no matter who they are) even if that means selling out to your own country. The latest example is whoever the dem was that met with Hamas.

"A more contemptible gesture would be difficult to imagine."
Really?
Try Detroit on for size: the only major American city with an Elijah Muhammad Blvd.
How's that for a moonbattery trump card?

My Rep is Emanuel Cleaver. I considered sending him a letter, but I doubt it would do any good. He's a minister, too. I can only believe that voting against that resolution is tacit approval of the cop killer.

So was Jim Jones.

Perhaps the Dems who voted "no" will come up with the idea to change Pennsylvania Avenue in DC to Mumia Avenue.

Send lots of letters Steve! Make them listen. Do you know how he voted? This is one of the most disgusting things the French have ever done.
