City College of New York Honors Cop-Killer, Terrorist

Proving that there is no limit to how far over the top the moonbats of academia will go in thumbing their nose at the society that finances them, taxpayer-supported City College of New York named its Guillermo Morales/Assata Shakur Community Center after a pair of bloodthirsty terrorists.

Shakur is the godmother of dead rap thug Tupac Shakur, one of the more appalling role models offered to our youth. Her real name is Joanne Deborah Chesimard. While she's a heroine to the creepy-crawlies that wriggle under the rock of academia, the FBI has placed a $1 million price on her head. In 1973, she murdered New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in cold blood during a routine traffic stop. In addition to killing a cop, her other qualifications for liberal sainthood include membership in the Black Liberation Army. Bank robbery is also on her resume. Since escaping from prison in 1979, she's been hiding out in Cuba.

Like Shakur, Guillermo Morales found sanctuary in communist Cuba after escaping from prison. He was a bomb maker for the Puerto Rican terrorist group FALN, which set off well over 100 bombs in the New York and Chicago areas during its heyday, killing six and injuring 130. On Christmas Eve, 1975, FALN bombed Fraunces Tavern near Wall Street, killing four. In 1983, it bombed New York's Police Headquarters, severely maiming several officers.

Bill Clinton commuted the sentences of 14 FALN terrorists during his last months in office, including Morales' wife Dylcia Pagan (convicted of conspiring to bomb 48 buildings in the Chicago area), in an attempt to win over Puerto Rican voters for his wife's Senate bid. Yet there are people so ignorant or depraved that they could still tolerate the idea of Clintons in the White House.

Did you notice you can name a college building after a couple of stinking cowardly murderers, but you can't name that college's sports team in honor of Native Americans?

Death penalty advocates present exhibits A and B.

Put 'em beyond the ability of any Democratic President to ever pardon 'em.

Evil is as evil does.

On a side note: Pinochet died recently. Have you wondered how world opinion of him would have been if he had the ideology of Castro or Chavez? Since he was on the Right, his murderous regime was bad. Had he been on the Left, however, it would have been okay for him to have killed people.

Of course I'm not endorsing what he did, though I can't argue with doing battle against commies. The Left would be much more sympathetic to him if he was one of them.

Just FYI, this was front page for FoxNews.com earlier today, but CNN.com didn't even mention it. Their front page story (right now) is about racism in America. Of course.

Jimbo, you forgot this one:

Roman Polanski's Rape Crisis Center for Girls

Thankfully, the Chancellor, Matthew Goldstein, has an iota of sense about him and has ordered the students to remove the signs. The “fight” isn’t over, however, as the student group, SLAM, has already got a lawyer on the case.

Other than Fox, was this covered by any MSM???

CNSNews.com did have a bit on it [of course read by only a small minority, for sure!]: http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=/Culture/archive/200612/CUL20061213b.html

Man, if Fidel croaks and his brother gets replaced by a US-friendly gov't, we're gonna have a field day dragging these scumbags before our courts. Now, if only we could do something about Mexico...
