Ban Ki-Moon Doesn't Parlez Vous
The new UN boss Ban Ki-Moon is still a mystery, but he can only be an improvement on the corrupt and anti-American Kofi Annan — especially considering this:
When asked a question in French by a Canadian journalist, Moon had to request that the reporter translate the question into English as he had difficulty in understanding the language. The question, as it turns out, was about Moon's understanding of the importance of keeping French as the second official language of the UN — a reference to the French insistence that any UN Secretary-General be fluent in their language.

On a tip from Bill V.

How long before Rosie O'Donnell blesses us with "ching chong, ching chong, ching chong, UN, ching chong, ching chong, English please?" as her take on the situation

The Fwench never stop trying to keep themselves relevant, even as they continue to sink into a dismal abyss. International use of Fwench has been declining since WWII and continues to do so. As it declines and English continues its ascent, Fwench whining escalates. I notice other countries (Poland, Italy, etc.) don't complain that their isn't the language of business and diplomacy!

Its a good sign that the new UN head refuses to speak FROG.
He couldnt be much worse than that mentally defective and corrupt Kofi Annan that just left.

Ban Ki-Moon must really be a diplomat otherwise how could he have resisted pointing out that more and more people living in France are speaking Arabic? Its sad but I still have to laugh when I think about French becoming a "dead" language in France.
Its just a fantasy but it would be nice to see Ban Ki-Moon run some kleptocrats to ground as head of the UN and what will South Korea do if the UN can be moved to push for enforcement of the recent resolutions directed at curtailing North Korean arms sales? Yeah, OK, I guess that's a fantasy too.
