The Former Cat Stevens to Croon at Nobel Moonbatfest
The Nobel Commission has found the perfect musician to perform at this year's Nobel Peace Prize Concert: Yusuf Islam.
You may remember him as Cat Stevens, performer of hippie-era tunes like "Peace Train" and "Moon Shadow." He dropped out of the music industry after converting to Islam in the 1970s. Since then he has been barred from entering the USA because of his close ties with Islamic extremists, and from Israel for giving tens of thousands of dollars to Hamas terrorists.
Yusuf Islam publicly supported the death sentence that was declared against Salman Rushdie for writing a novel that Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini didn't like. His website boasts of his collaboration with Hamza Yusuf, who had this to say at a convention of the Islamic Circle of North America held at historic Valley Forge in 1996:
I am a citizen of this country not by choice but by birth. I reside in this country not by choice but by conviction in attempting to spread the message of Islam in this country. I became Muslim in part because I did not believe in the false gods of this society whether we call them Jesus or democracy or the Bill of Rights or any other element of this society that is held sacrosanct by the ill-informed peoples that make up this charade of a society.
The "peace activist" formerly known as Cat Stevens is living proof that you can be a moonbat and a Muslim at the same time. Naturally the Nobel folks love the guy. In 2003 a committee of Nobel Peace Prize laureates awarded him the Man of Peace award.

The first time I heard the song Peace Train, I thought he was singing about a "Pee Stain". Turns out my misheard lyric was pretty damn close to what he would become later in life.

Their reasoning would probably be something like:
"This is to show our dislike of the Bush Administration",
or
"At least he didn't start an illegal and immoral war with a peaceful, non-aggressive nation."
Those weasels have long since admitted the Nobel Peace Prizes are nothing but political ammo.

Now I am a jewish folk who has heard and met Sh Hamza and Yusuf Islam over many years. What I do have to say for Sh Hamza is that he has been speaking against terrorism, angry muslims, cohesion for a number of years. If he has spoken as such above then it may have been years ago, however you have to know the context of his speech, and again it seems he has been misquoted to make a sensational article. He like many other Americans may have been speaking about foreign policy, global climates, arms etc so do not take this piece with a pinch of salt. Secondly Yusuf Islam - he may have been going through a phase as his behaviour since then certainly does not reflect any behaviour that deserves being called what he has. This is a man who collects thousands for charity etc yet we have people who like to sit back and criticise and often do little themsevles

I still love his first big album Tea for the Tillerman and from time to time listen and reminicse. But, even back then one could hear he was a very confused young man and then he just got stupid.
As a young man he rebelled against those with big egos who thought themselves to be God's gift to the world, the ultimate Joe Cool. So what does Cat Stevens do? He converts to Islam and changes his name to Yusuf Islam - Joe Surrender! Nope, no ego there.
