Lindsey Graham Looking Forward to Dem Congress
Not all Republicans are bummed about the drubbing they earned for themselves by not sticking to the conservative principles that got them elected in the first place. Senator Lindsey "Goober" Graham predicts that the next two years will be the most fruitful of his career.
Chirps Graham:
I think my political profile for the last four years fits the next two years very well.
It must be wonderful to find himself in a Senate controlled by people he can work with. The new bosses will share his views on illegal immigration (Graham supports shamnesty). But he'd better not let them find out about his 0% rating by the ACLU and NARAL, or his 100% rating by the Christian Coalition.

Too bad Lincoln Chafee didn't get re-elected; he would have been in hog heaven. He's now considering leaving the GOP...like he was ever truly a member.

I am thankful that Sen. Graham is not bummed out but ready to get things done even with a Democrat controlled congress. As to amnesty, comprehensive immigration reform does not grant amnesty to the illegals because they must register, pay a fine, get appropriate background checks, maintain a job, and earn legalization. Amnesty is exactly the opposite; it allows lawbreakers to completely get away with their activity without a penalty. The 1986 immigration reform was amnesty, this one while not perfect is not.
