Last Tuesday Big Win For Islamic Fifth Column

The biggest winners in last Tuesday's election were the Islamic terrorists who did not stop plotting to kill us after 9/11. Putting Congress under the control of useful idiots like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid effectively creates a fifth column comparable to putting the terrorist front group CAIR in a position of federal authority. The ramifications for our security are terrifying, as Robert Spencer explains at FrontPage.

Our next Speaker of the House Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi, who will be third in line for the presidency, has promised to "correct the Patriot Act." One of her goals is to criminalize scrutiny of the Muslims who are trying to kill us. Screeches Stretch:

Since September 11, many Muslim Americans have been subjected to searches at airports and other locations based upon their religion and national origin. We must make it illegal.

Since our enemies are killing us explicitly because they are Muslims and we aren't, and since the battlefield is wherever they are able to murder our innocent civilians, Pelousy's edict is the equivalent of making it illegal to discriminate against Nazi and Imperial Japanese soldiers during WWII.

John Conyers, our next Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, is a left-wing extremist who can be counted on to side with any enemy of the United States, particularly Muslims. He is behind House Resolution 288, which would grant Islam special protection from the government.

CAIR must be particularly pleased that their support allowed Muslim extremist Keith Ellison to be elected to Congress. Ellison will be the keynote speaker at CAIR's Annual Banquet next week.

The insidious vermin at the New York Times share CAIR's delight at Ellison's election. In an effusively supportive piece that manages never to mention CAIR, the Gray Lady dismisses his critics as "Muslim-bashers in the blogosphere" and obscenely compares Ellison's candidacy to "John F. Kennedy's breaking the taboo against a Roman Catholic's being president." There can be no doubt that a radical Muslim in the Oval Office would send the NY Times into raptures. Pinch Sulzberger et al. must be heartbroken that Osama bin Laden isn't qualified to run.

Ellison owes his election not only to CAIR and to America-loathing moonbats, but also to the large Somali community in his district. Failure to pray to Allah five times a day is punishable by death in their homeland. As noted earlier, supporters interrupted Ellison's acceptance speech with chants of "Allahu Akbar" — the direct equivalent of "Heil Hitler." Funny, the Times doesn't mention that either. It has no problem with Ellison swearing his oath of office on a Koran.

As for Ellison's sugar daddy CAIR, it is an offshoot of the Islamic Association for Palestine, which was founded by Mousa Abu Marzook of Hamas. In the aftermath of 9/11, CAIR's website featured a photo of the burning World Trade Center above a call for donations to the Holy Land Foundation, which has since been shut down for funneling money to Hamas. Several CAIR officials have been convicted of terrorism-related activities.

To distinguish between CAIR and Hamas would be splitting hairs. To distinguish between Hamas and al Qaeda would also be splitting hairs.
