Kerry Campaign Recruited at Fallen Soldiers' Funerals

John "Botched Joke" Kerry's abuse of our men and women in uniform doesn't stop with his steady stream of outrageous insults and accusations. According to American Mourning authors Catherine Moy and Melanie Morgan, it also includes the most despicable form of exploitation imaginable. Perhaps inspired by Fred Phelps' cult, Hanoi John has used funerals as an opportunity to accost the families of fallen soldiers in an attempt to recruit them for his cause.

One example is the family of Justin Johnson of Rome, Georgia, who was killed in Sadr City in 2004. According to Moy:

A woman — who had also lost her son in the war and who represented the local Kerry campaign — approached the Johnsons at their son's wake. Justin was laid out in his Army uniform as the woman began her speech about hating Bush and helping Kerry. She asked the Johnsons to speak out against President Bush.

Michael Moore has also been involved in these morbid and disgusting recruitment activities. The idea of course is to create more Cindy Sheehans, who herself "went on the payroll of John Kerry's campaign within days after her son's death," according to Morgan.

As the American Mourning authors note in a statement they released today:

Sen. Kerry's history of calling American troops in Vietnam "baby-rapers" and murderers, and his current comments ... show that the public was right in rejecting him as unfit for the job of commander-in-chief.

To say that we dodged a bullet in 2004 would be putting it mildly. Let's hope we can dodge the next one; if we don't, the party that saw fit to offer Kerry as a presidential candidate will take control of Congress.

Now we know why Kerry looks like a ghoul.

Here is what John Kerry should have said.

I appoligize to all service personel that were offended by my comment. I reviewed the transcript and understand why those words were offensive and I sincerely apologize that I uttered them. Those words do not reflect what I was trying to say. I was attempting to state that if you are an under achiever educationally like President Bush you will get us stuck in Iraq. In the interest of making this apology sincere, I must also admit that President Bush’s grades at Yale were slightly higher than mine so that even my intended meaning probably would have been offensive to many. I apologize for that also.

I actually hated the troops before I didn't hate them.
