Halloween in the Ivory Tower

Posted by Dave Blount at November 3, 2006 1:50 PM

Via Democracy Project, here are some pictures taken in the home of University of Pennsylvania President Amy Gutmann last Tuesday. Isn't it great how Halloween gives you a chance to let your inner self loose? President Gutmann is the blond in the top picture. The wannabe suicide bomber is Saad Saadi. Captions are apparently those provided by Saadi on his bizarre website, though they can no longer be accessed:

"Another hostage shot. This is my favorite one."

This is what goes on in the home of the president of an Ivy League university. Cute, huh? Can you imagine coming to the college president's house dressed as a Klansman, and enacting a lynching? Of course not, but unlike Muslim terrorists, Klansmen don't have whole university departments devoted to whitewashing their murderous activities.

Besides, President Gutmann didn't realize the guy she was posing with was dressed as a terrorist. It's not easy to top John "Botched Joke" Kerry when it comes to digging yourself deeper with lame explanations, but Gutmann does her best with this:

The costume is clearly offensive and I was offended by it. As soon as I realized what his costume was, I refused to take any more pictures with him, as he requested.

If Gutmann really thinks people are mentally underdeveloped enough to believe that she didn't realize Saadi was dressed as a terrorist, it's no wonder she devoted herself to education.

The truth is that Muslim terrorists are only seen as depraved blood-thirsty fiends in the real world. Inside the ivory tower, as in the MSM, they are noble victims of Zionism and hegemonic American arrogance.

The next generation's perceptions of the world are being shaped in an asylum for the morally insane.
