French Businessman Jailed For Fighting Off Potential Killers
GalliaWatch tells the story a middle-aged French businessman named René Dahan who recently proved himself to be a hero.
Three hooded criminals attacked him as he prepared to leave his home in the morning. One used a .357 Magnum to threaten him and strike him on the head, before attempting to strangle him as the others were tying up his wife.
But Dahan turned the tables by wresting the gun away. An intruder was shot and soon died.
The reaction of the French judiciary? Dahan was arrested for homicide and thrown in jail.
Minister of Justice Pascal Clement sniffed that the "deeds attributed to René Dahan do not seem to conform to the notion of self-defense."
His lawyer Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard was right to wonder:
Are you guilty for defending yourself? When you are the victim the only right you have is to die.
Fortunately the conservative (by French standards) Minister of the Interior Nicolas Sarkozy intervened to spring Dahan from prison, to the outrage of both judges and left-wing politicians.

Sounds like the socialist governments running amok are
sending out hitmen to eliminate the law-abiding
working "bourgeois" and other moderate to conservative
"undesirables". Then when they fight back, the government
sets them up.

In France, self-defense is holding up a white flag. René Dahan clearly violated this rule of law, which is why he must be prosecuted.

Punks got what they deserved. I'd of shot em too.
Can't for the life of me why any judege liberal or not would arrest someone for defending their home, and life.
