Ecclesiastical Moonbattery

Normally Christianity serves to keep the West rooted in its core values, so that it does not tip over in the superficial breezes of pernicious trends and fashions. But unfortunately, moonbattery has put down its own roots — and they reach right into churches.
Disregarding the sanctity of innocent life, the Church of England is now calling for doctors to just let sick babies die. Tom Butler, Bishop of Southwark and vice chair of the church's Mission and Public Affairs Council, argues that keeping sick babies alive might cost too much. The UK Disabled People's Council is not pleased.
At the Vatican, the principle of rendering on Caesar that which is Caesar's has been set aside so that a senior cardinal, Renato Martino, could instruct the USA on how to administrate its borders. Carried away by his rhetoric, Martino denounced a border fence as part of an "inhuman program" and even fell back on the absurd moonbat argument that a border fence to keep invaders and criminals out is equivalent to the Berlin Wall, which of course was there to keep slaves in. His remarks were apparently intended to apply also to the wall that defends Israel from Palestinian terrorists.
The way demographic trends are going in Italy, the Vatican may soon need a similar wall to prevent itself from being overrun by Muslims. We'll see if this affects Martino's attitude toward walls.
