Dennis Kucinich: Cut Off Our Troops' Air Supply
Dennis Kucinich knows just how to end hostilities in Iraq: cut off funding to our troops.
Thanks to the Dem takeover of Congress, Kucinich will soon be Chair of the Government Reform Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations, a subcommittee to which we should hope no serious responsibilities will be entrusted. Here's what he had to say in an interview with his fellow moonbats at Democracy Now:
We have to determine that the time has come to cut off funds. [...] That's the ultimate power of the Congress, the power of the purse. That's how we'll end this war, and that's the only way we're going to end this war.
Good thing Kooksinitch isn't in charge of the International Space Station. If astronauts were outside doing repair work, he might decide to bring them in by shutting off their air supply.
Taxpayers should not expect any savings from the cash cutoff. After we turn Iraq over to the UN, Iran, and Syria, we need to pay to reconstruct everything the terrorists blow up. But this will teach us a lesson for starting an "illegal war" that was "based on lies" and caused by our "insistence on grabbing oil."

If numbskull Dennis spent 5 minutes browsing the Constitution, he would be surprised to discover that the power to declare war is vested in the Legislative branch. Thus Congress could merely pass a resolution requiring Bush to end the Iraq War, and would not have to resort to funding loopholes and the like.
But that's too much to ask of today's politicians.

We don't need to end the Iraq war. Americans have lost thier belief in right and wrong, and moral and immoral. We don't have the guts and the wherewithal to stand up for our values or what is just anymore. It's a shame too that we don't believe in our higher values any longer.

Well, the Founders would have scoffed your words. Clearly, your "values" (perpetual war and imperialism) differ drastically from theirs (liberty, restraint, peace).
It's a shame you don't have the first clue as to what constitutes American values.

Listen to some of JFK's speeches, sometime, moron.

Sorry Dan, in case you couldn't tell, this site is about MOONBAT beliefs destroying the West... Your moonbat beliefs (America is "imperial" the Founding Fathers were pacifists, etc.) are not worthy of a response. Learn some history please (real history, not PC history you learned in your history book in college) before you try to respond to me.

Chris, it's unfortunate that you're not able to respond to my post. The problem is the obvious contradiction between your "values" of perpetual war, imperialism, and facism and the actual American values (restaint, liberty, peace) held by the Founders.
And I guarantee that I have a deeper knowledge and understanding of American history than you could ever have.
