Archbishop of York Speaks Truth to Moonbattery
Posted by Dave Blount at November 13, 2006 8:31 PM
Kudos to Dr. John Sentamu, Archbishop of York, for speaking truth to moonbattery.
Noting that Christians take "more knocks" than other religions from the all-powerful BBC, Sentamu observed that cowardice plays a part:
They can do to us what they dare not do to the Muslims. We are fair game because they can get away with it. We don't go down there and say, "We are going to bomb your place." That is not in our nature.
Sentamu blames the "chattering classes" for eating away at the moral foundations of Western culture:
They see themselves as holding the flag for Britain and that Britain is definitely secular and atheist. I want them to have their say but not to lord it over the rest of us.
Sentamu has no use for the dhimmitude that has some bending over backwards to pander to Muslim women who insist on making a pageant of their extremism by always wearing veils in public:
I think the thing is in British society you can wear what you want, but you can't expect British society to be reconfigured around you. No minority can expect to impose this on the public or civic life.
To get an archbishop this politically incorrect, they had to import him from Uganda. They ought to import some more.

John Sentamu.
