Supremes Deny Appeal on Muslim Indoctrination in California
Our public schools may be vehemently hostile to Christianity, but they aren't opposed to all religions. In Byron, California, 7th-graders at Excelsior Middle School made students adopt the role of Muslims for 3 weeks to help them learn about Islam. The kids used Muslim names, recited Muslim prayers in class, were made to recite passages from the Koran from memory, and were even expected to honor Ramadan.
Unsurprisingly, parents sued. If schools are forbidden to endorse Christianity, why should they be able to ram Islam down kids' throats? Still less surprisingly, San Francisco's Ninth Circus Court of Appeals sided with the school. Now the Supreme Court has rejected an appeal.
Crowed Linda Lye, a lawyer for the school district:
I'm delighted that the Byron Union School District can put this case finally behind it and get on with educating children and exposing them to the world's great cultures and religions in an appropriate way.
If they really want the kids to learn about Islam, they ought to show them United 93.

I think that the same school district should have a course on Judaism with circumcision for all the boys who might need it. And for those boys who had a circumcision in the hospital, there is a small-scale version of the ceremony for adult converts used by some sects.
IOW, the Supreme Court decision is stupid.

If they really want to teach students about Islam, then the girls need to wear burqas and receive female circumcision...in the traditional way, of course, using crude tools and no anasthesia. Of course, kicking the girls out of school for three weeks (since traditional Islamists don't approve of educating women) would also be "an appropriate way" to learn about this great culture.

Yes, why not teach the kiddies the REAL Islam as Pam said.
If anyone wants to know how we lost our freedom in the war against Islamic fascists they can look at episodes like this one.

Make sure the school stones all the "nancy boys" and butchy girls, encourages sex with goats, teaches jihad--make it as real as possible.
