Sharia Gets Foothold at Minneapolis Airport
Three quarters of the 900 cabdrivers who service the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport are Muslims. This has become a problem, because Allah doesn't want cabbies to drive travelers who are carrying alcohol.
Muslim drivers have demanded the right to refuse fares without having to take their cabs to the back of the line. After consulting with the Minnesota chapter of the Muslim American Society (which is devoted to subjecting the USA to Islamic law), the Metropolitan Airports Commission settled on the solution of granting cabbies unwilling to carry alcohol a special color light on the roof. This means that if you made some purchases at the airport's duty-free shop, you will have to wait until a cab comes that isn't driven by a Muslim — which these days could take a while. But as FrontPage points out, the implications are more serious:
Other Muslims in Minneapolis-St. Paul and across the country could well demand the same privilege. Bus conductors might follow suit. The whole transport system could be divided between those Islamically observant and those not so.
Why stop with alcohol? Muslim taxi drivers in several countries already balk at allowing seeing-eye dogs in their cars. Future demands could include not transporting women with exposed arms or hair, homosexuals, and unmarried couples. For that matter, they could ban men wearing kippas, as well as Hindus, atheists, bartenders, croupiers, astrologers, bankers, and quarterbacks.
As we have seen repeatedly, the Muslim capacity for intolerance is unlimited.
Here's a solution that ought to work better than the colored lights. Since America is a free and modern country, if you want to live in the Sixth Century, move back to the Middle East.
Update:
The colored light solution has been nixed, because "the public response was overwhelmingly negative, and some taxi companies feared that people opposed to the system would switch to other forms of ground transport instead of cabs." There's a lesson here. When Muslims push for sharia and dhimmitude, we can push back.

I did hear that this got stopped, though it never should have started. Muslims aren't exactly the 'easy come, easy go' crowd, does anybody supposed that since they lost something that they had for a week or so, that they'll start rioting in MN? Of course we always hope they dont, but maybe a second message can be sent by the Minneapolis Police department if they do, which is - this isnt Europe, you'll be held accountable.

If your driver is a Moslem, apparantly all you have to do is stash a tiny bottle of vodka down the back seat of the car, and you damn his eternal soul to hell. You know, stashing a tiny vodka bottle in a Moslem’s cab wouldn’t be as much fun as pretending to find a bottle. You could produce it from the back seat and tell the cabbie it must have been there for a very long time. Then, you sit back and enjoy the expression on his face. While eating pork rinds. Its not a hate crime.
