Real Race-Based Vote Fraud

It's nice to see the Justice Department doing something about race-based vote suppression — not the fairy tale variety whined about by Dems every time they lose an election, but the real McCoy. The targets are Caucasians.

In rural Mississippi, twice-convicted felon Ike Brown is chairman of the Noxubee County Democratic Executive Committee. He uses his position to keep his fellow blacks in office. It isn't hard work, considering blacks outnumber whites 3 to 1 in the county, but he still feels compelled to cheat:

Mr. Brown is accused in the lawsuit [brought by the DoJ] and in supporting documents of paying and organizing notaries, some of whom illegally marked absentee ballots or influenced how the ballots were voted; of publishing a list of voters, all white, accompanied by a warning that they would be challenged at the polls; of importing black voters into the county; and of altering racial percentages in districts by manipulating the registration rolls.

Having been completely cowed, local whites don't even want to be quoted on the subject. Said one woman:

There's a lot of voting irregularities, but that's all I'm going to say.

Even the state's Democratic establishment is put off by Brown's tactics. He is being defended in the suit by a "maverick" Republican lawyer named Wilbur Colom, who calls Brown "a Karl Rove genius on the Noxubee County level."
