New TV Show Portrays Iraq War Vets As Violent Criminals

Hollywood did its part for the war effort during WWII, putting out movies that built morale by emphasizing the heroism of those who fight to defend our country and our way of life. But these days the entertainment industry offers very different contributions.

"The Kill Pit," for example, is an 8-hour drama series expected to air next summer on Spike TV. It tells the story of some Iraq war veterans who rob a bank and take hostages. According to Spike, each episode will

follow the escalating action as the volatile soldiers plot their way out, the negotiator anticipates their moves and the hostages desperately try to survive.

In Pittsburgh, where this delightful series will film, the politicians are proud. Says Mayor Luke Ravenstahl:

It's great for the City of Pittsburgh to once again be showcased. Any opportunity we get to host a production like this in the city is great as a showcasing opportunity and as an economic generator.

Not many mayors would have been pleased to have their cities associated with a show characterizing our troops as criminals during WWII. But then, before moonbattery twisted our society against itself, it would have been inconceivable to produce such a show in wartime.

I really think you're over-reacting. Remember "Kelly's Heroes" with Clint Eastwood, Don Rickels, et al., where they hit the German bank for all the gold in WWII. I'm sure we'll see just another light-hearted romp in the same vein. Surely these blue-state moonbats wouldn't demean U.S. military veterans. Remember, they support your troops.

Dont be suprised if the Iraq war vets are shown torturing the hostages Abu Graib style. They might even be wearing George Bush and Dick Cheney masks while doing it. Would they actually put this on the air? It wouldnt suprise me if they tried it.

Im sure there will be some kind of reaction from the VFW and other veterans groups.
