Muslim Tears Down Memorial to 9/11 Cop
A Turkish-born Muslim by the name of Adnan Emre was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after tearing down part of a Queens memorial to Paul Talty, a police officer who died on September 11. The memorial consisted of a picture of Talty, a cross, crossed American and Irish flags, and a plaque reading "Rest in Peace, Paul. We miss you. God Bless."
Talty rushed into the south tower of the World Trade Center as it fell, leaving behind a boy, a girl, and a pregnant wife.
Emre screamed "This is political!" as he tore down the shrine. The worst he can get is 1 year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Paul Talty, RIP.
