Katrina Tax Dollars Still At Work
FEMA continues to apply our tax dollars to Katrina cleanup, in part by painting stove knobs red in over 100,000 government-issued trailers. Spokesman Aaron Walker says it will help residents tell the difference between the igniter knobs and the burner knobs on their free propane stoves.
According to Walker, there have been four fires related to gas or stoves in FEMA trailers in Louisiana, none in Mississippi. One person died in an explosion apparently caused by burners being left switched on.
How much this will cost taxpayers wasn't mentioned.

Maybe FEMA should paint the knobs with red ink.
On a tip from Bill.
