Global Warming Doctrinaires Feel a Chill
Lately life has been cold to global warming alarmists. Six people were killed in the premature blizzards in Upstate New York that dropped two feet of snow on Buffalo weeks before Halloween and caused 380,000 people to lose power. The NOAA National Climatic Data Center reports that September 2006 was cooler than the 20th Century average. To top it off, NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has sent back the picture of Mars below, which indicates a history of "dynamic climate changes" on a planet where presumably no one ever drove an SUV or even smoked a cigarette.
Time had better do another scary cover story, before people start coming around to the idea that fluctuations in the weather are natural and inevitable.

If global warming loses its luster, then the anti-development, fuck-the-third-world snobs will start complaining about global cooling again.
