Dial 911, Turn In a Smoker

Omaha police must have too much time on their hands, because along with the city's elected leaders, they are urging watchful citizens to dial 911 to report any miscreants they see violating a draconian new smoking ban that immediately effects 97% of local businesses.

Douglas County Emergency director Mark Conrey doesn't much like the idea of using 911 for something this frivolous. But according to Teresa Negron, sergeant in charge of public information for the police, smoking in public is to be treated like any other crime.
