Club Gitmo Vacationers Packing On Pounds
As if oblivious to civilized norms, the American military has been overfeeding the terrorists vacationing at the tropical resort known as Guantanamo Bay.
Jihadists are served 4,200 calories per day, well over the 2,000–3,000 recommended by the US government's own dietary guidelines. Gitmo spokesman Navy Cmdr. Robert Durand admits that one guest doubled his weight to 410 pounds. As Durand explains:
The detainees are advised that they are offered more food than necessary, to provide choice and variety, and that consuming all the food they are offered will result in weight gain.
Don't illegal combatants have a constitutional right to be protected from their own gluttony? What is this, Nazi Germany?
Human rights groups blame lack of exercise opportunities, though guests who refrain from assaulting the help can use treadmills, stationary bikes, etc. for up to 12 hours per week. Access to the fitness equipment has nothing to do with whether the vacationers provide information — we certainly wouldn't want to engage in coerced interrogations.

How about letting the anti-fast food Nazis go down there and design healthier diets. That would really be torture.
