Church of England Calls Government on Pro-Islam Favoritism

Showing an encouraging willingness to stand up for itself and for Western Civilization, the Church of England has raised its voice against the favoritism the British government shows toward Islam.

A confidential Church document leaked to the Sunday Telegraph criticizes the "privileged attention" granted to Muslims, who still make up only 3% of the British population. It lists a number of ways the government responded to the 7/7 terror attacks by pandering to Muslims, including flying Muslim scholars to Britain at taxpayer expense, setting aside forced marriage legislation, and encouraging financial arrangements that follow Islamic rules. This shameful kowtowing has failed to produce any "noticeable positive impact on community cohesion," according the report; on the contrary:

Indeed, one might argue that disaffection and separation is now greater than ever, with Muslim communities withdrawing further into a sense of victimhood, and other faith communities seriously concerned that the Government has given signals that appear to encourage the notion of a privileged relationship with sections of the Muslim community.

This marks a welcome departure from the wishy-washy dhimmitude that has characterized the Church of England's official stand toward pro-Islam multicultural moonbattery.
