American Police Sued for Not Speaking Spanish
Texas attorney Domingo Garcia is suing Royse City for over $1 million dollars on behalf of a client who had to be forcibly subdued, allegedly only because the police who arrested him didn't speak Spanish.
Garcia holds that it is the responsibility of American police to learn the language of the Reconquistadors "in order to properly communicate with Spanish-speaking persons."
He has filed a similar suit against the city of Irving, where police had to get a little rough while arresting an illegal alien named Jose Palomino, who had been coming into the USA to work for 23 years but claims not to know what cops meant when they repeatedly yelled "Down!" in English instead of Spanish.
According to Garcia, who considers the term "illegal alien" to be a "racial slur":
A police officer, like any public servant or anybody in the private sector, has to cater to the language of the market.
There's no denying that when it comes to crime in the Southwest, the language of the market is Spanish — although that would eventually change if we started defending our borders.

On a tip from Wiggins.

This should be humorous, but the fact that an attorney is tying up the justice system with an inane lawsuit is sickening. I would assume that the perp was committing an illegal act, or the police officer would not have stopped him in the first place.

Any surprise here? Nope. We now have a ambulance chasing personal injury lawyer suing because someone who doesn't belong in this nation to begin with wasn't accomodated by the police, who do belong here, didn't speak the language of a foreign nation.
What the hell is wrong with that picture? What's next? We will have to press #2 for English?

That attorney is just standing up for "La Raza."

Perhaps in his trial for crimes committed in the name of moonbattery the language should be Latin, or maybe Sanskrit.

It's unlikely (I believe), but I somewhat hope Garcia wins the suit. Maybe then it'll put a public sentiment fire under our legislature's ass to pass legislation to make "American English" our country's national language.

Speaking of illegal, he should be arrested for wearing such a hideous tie.

I used to live and work in the Royce City area.
I am appalled that this leech would file this complaint.
The SOB is in OUR country.
Who's responsibility is it to learn the "local" language?
Perhaps the perp better take an ESL class to get quickly versed in basic commands in english - Stop! Down! Quit fighting!
Place your hands behind your back!
Dear heavens, what next?
Seeing as the guy WAS arrested in Texas, he's pretty damn lucky he did not get shot!

Mr. Garcia yet another cancerous cell one of many that are slowly invading our country and ripping it apart for self gain. This is America, if you chose to come here illegally or legally learn English otherwise don't come.
lawyers=cancer of america
