Religion-of-Peaceniks on Anti-Christian Rampage in Nigeria
Peace-loving Muslims have been celebrating their diversity again, this time by going on a rampage against Christians in Nigeria.
In a foretaste of Europe a generation from now, six churches were burned, along with an unspecified number of homes and businesses belonging to minority Christians. A day later 1,000 Christians were still camped out by police headquarters, afraid to go home.
The pretext for the rioting is unclear. Some say a Christian woman said something unflattering about Mohammad; others said it was a market dispute.
Thousands of Nigerians have died since 2000, when the Muslim-majority north began implementing sharia. The Cartoon Intifada alone resulted in 120 deaths.
At least the violence won't last. Eventually everyone will either escape the country, submit to Islam, or be killed.

Nigeria has been a charnel house for 45 years. Tribe against tribe, race against race, military against civilian, party A against party B, religion X against religion Y---and all of this mess wrapped up in corruption and mismagement of a size and depth that would embarrass even the UN. What a nightmare, a grotesque, and Hobbesian state of nature that would leave even Conrad with nothing more to say other than "The horror. The horror.". Just like Ghana. And Liberia. And the Congo. And Angola. And Algeria. And on and bloody on.
